Challenge

Entering a new market required more than simply replicating an existing café format. The challenge was to create a US-specific prototype that respected Papparoti’s global identity while adapting to American customer expectations, operational workflows, and scalability requirements.

The space had to feel warm, inviting, and premium while supporting high customer turnover, efficient service, and a repeatable design system for future locations.

Solution

Studio Swank developed a comprehensive rollout strategy beginning with the flagship prototype store. The design centered around warm oak finishes, soft plaster textures, brass detailing, and expansive arched windows that flood the café with natural light.

Custom seating, layered lighting, and carefully selected materials created a sophisticated yet comfortable atmosphere that encourages customers to linger and return. The brand identity, typography, signage, and FF&E package were designed as a cohesive system, allowing future units to maintain consistency while adapting to different locations.
